Callie the Character

Granny was watching Callie the other day and they were reading a book about counting your blessings. Granny paused in the story. Granny: Callie, do you count your blessings and thank God for them? Callie: Yes. Granny: What do you thank God for? Callie: Mommy and Daddy, Mimi and Grandpa, Granny and Paw Paw, Gramma and (long pause) Granny: Are you trying to remember Gramma's husband, your other grandpa's name? Callie: (sighs, shrugs her shoulders, gives Granny a look, and holds her hands out) Well, his name is Tommy . . . What a case! Callie soon remembers that his name is PaPaw . . . at least to her! :)

Unfortunately, they had moved (we discovered after we had parked to what we thought would be a close parking garage) and we spent at least 30 minutes walking around downtown Chicago, carrying both the kids because Callie was asleep, and it was a bitterly cold, windy day. We finally did find the place, but the pizza wasn't as good as I remembered, maybe because I was a littl...
