I finally have the laptop back!

Philip was in Chicago last week and he took the laptop with him. I've been so Internet deprived, I've been on the computer all morning. Sometimes I feel like checking facebook every 5 minutes is the modern day equivalent to watching paint dry. It's boring, but somehow it keeps calling me back. Last week, Callie and I spent a lot of time together. With Philip being gone, I felt like I got a lot more done because I didn't think "Oh, I'll wait 'til Philip gets back to do that," instead I would do chores when I first thought of them. Hopefully, I can continue that attitude and keep up with everything better than I have been.  Callie's also doing a lot better about playing on her own for longer periods of time, so that also gives me more opportunities to get chores done and I've been doing some more baking, which she appreciates. :) Last week, I also started walking with Callie because the weather FINALLY cleared up for a couple days.  She loves ...

Well it's been a long time . . .

I know, I know. I'm simply awful. I promised updates every two or three days and it's been months since I actually wrote a new update. I'm not going to try and catch everyone up on what's been going on, so I'll just talk about recent events. If you need (or want) any back stories , you can call me and I'll fill you in on all our latest happenings. Philip and Callie and I have moved into an apartment in town while my parents build their house. With all the rainy weather that we have been having up here, they have no way of knowing when they're going to be able to start and we know it's going to be at least 6 months until they're finished. We were able to find an open ended lease so we could move back to the farm after mom and dad are finished with the new house, whenever that may be. Callie is enjoying not being told "no" all day long and I'm enjoying not having to watch her like a hawk. We've made the adjustment well and we're a...
