Almost Vacation Time!

Diaper Wreath for Eli Stahler Bat and Ball Cookies for the shower The cake with the daddy in mind! Callie "reading" in her bed Callie checking out her new bed So excited! Playing in her new bed. We're getting ready for our first vacation since our honeymoon. Leaving early in the morning on Friday! :) I'm trying to get things organized around here before we leave. Last week was busy, I hosted a shower for my friend at my house, so the last few days have been busy trying to get things in place. It's not settled yet, we still don't have all our boxes unpacked and things aren't all in their final places. Like I've said before, now that we're past the shower, our next room to get ready is the nursery. :) Only a couple months to go! The shower went really well. I think everyone enjoyed it. There was lots and lots of CUBS gear in honor of the proud daddy having his little boy! We were excited to be able to have a celebration for our friends. One day last ...

The Latest from the Farm

Well, the weather has been beautiful the past couple of days and I'm absolutely exhausted from trying to take part in it! Callie and I went and played outside yesterday after we got back from a nearly all day trip to Peoria. We found the kittens that had been born a few weeks ago and Callie was very gentle petting the one that I managed to catch. (They're not very used to us.) She kept going over and looking at them and saying "Kitt-ens." :) Speaking of things she's saying, what isn't she saying? It's amazing to me how much she says and communicates! I have to be very careful what I say around her anymore, because it could very possibly be repeated! Every time she comes back from bible class, she shouts over everyone else visiting "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" It's so sweet, even though I'd really like her to use her indoor voice, I can't help but smile that she wants to show me her papers so badly she can't hardly wait to get into the a...

Internet Service? Not Hardly!

Callie stacks her new cups! Ta da! Callie's "table" talks with her new dolls at her new table. Callie with her two new baby dolls. Mommy asking Callie if she wants to blow out her candle. As you can see, Callie had a couple big birthday celebrations! We've been having trouble with our internet service again. The poor service tech has been out several times and has not been able to find the source of our problem. I'm a little frustrated with our provider however . . . they haven't exactly been pleasant about our bill. Of course, if they were providing the service we had agreed upon, I wouldn't have a problem paying them! The Booker 3 are living alone in the farm house now! (Another reason the blogs have been few and far between.) It's an ongoing process and things are slowly (really slowly) coming together. Let's just put it this way, we're hoping to have things settled by the time Gabe gets here. Mom and Dad are down the road at their new house...
