So we're back from our trip to Beaumont, where we've finally purchased a video camera! Yay! So instead of writing all about our trip, I'm going to show you after I edit the video together! In other news, we're loading the truck on August 28th and it's just possible that I will go crazy between now and then! So, fair warning to everyone who happens to read this . . . There's so much going on and I think everything has culminated on the 23rd! It's going to be a hectic, but fun day in my prediction. We're having a garage sale on the 22nd and 23rd. My Dad, Paw-Paw and Eric are all coming to move Eric in to his dorm and take the fishing trip that we gave them. We're packing up so Dad can take a truckload back to IL when he leaves. Then, we're having a goodbye party on the evening of the 23rd. It's our last Sunday at Highway on the 24th and I believe there are 2 showers on that day. Then, it's manic packing until the 28th when we get the truck....

Tentative Moving Plans are Made

Well, it looks like we're going to be moving fairly quickly. We're going to leave on Monday for a week long visit to Beaumont to see Philip's parents since it won't be quite as easy to drive down there for a weekend visit from Illinois. We'll be back on Saturday, August 16th. Monday, August 18th will be the start of Philip's last 2 weeks at Harding. We plan on heading to Illinois August 30. These plans are tentative since we haven't received official word of when Philip's start date will be at ICC. However, the interviewer said it would be asap, so we're not really worried. We'll receive our last check from Harding so we'll easily be able to make it through September no matter when he starts. We have a lot to do before this time. Packing, selling the house (hopefully!), garage sale, finding a place to live temporarily in Illinois, emotional good-byes, and wrapping everything up down here. It's been a lot harder than I thought it was goin...

Back Home in Arkansas

We're back from IL! We're all very happy to be back in our own beds. Callie, for reasons unknown, decided not to sleep very well on our trip. But she did great last night. We've decided that she doesn't like sleeping in the room with us -- Philip must snore too loud or something. Ha! Other than that, Callie had a great time with Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Eric, Granny Great, and Paw-Paw (and all our cousins and great aunts and uncles - whew we have a lot of family)! She showed off her new skills like eating, razzing, rolling, and of course, all her talking! The interview went great. We could hear as soon as Wednesday as to whether or not they are going to offer Philip a job. The interviewer told Philip that, as of Monday, he was their top pick! We are so excited! It seems surreal right now. We've been trying for so long to make something happen, and it just might. So, we're wanting to see if we can get the house sold and trying to figure out how to go about getting ...

Heading to Illinois

Well, we're about to head to Illinois for the weekend. Philip has a job interview Monday morning at Illinois Central College. Callie's looking forward to seeing Grammy and Grandpa. She's resting up now so she can be all smiles tonight! In Callie news, we've started eating carrots. She really seems to enjoy her food; she gets excited as soon as she sees the bib. She's very much a Mommy's girl right now, sometimes crying when I try to leave a room (even if Daddy's holding her!) On the opposite side of that, she has been sitting, without Mommy, all through Wednesday night bible class for the past 3 weeks. She really likes all the nursery songs and the other babies. Especially the boys! (Uh-oh! Could be trouble!) I think the entertainment outweighs the separation! :) In house news, we had a couple of new people walk through the house this week. We even had an offer. However, we've decided to hold out a little longer and hope for a better one. God will bring ...
