We're back from IL! We're all very happy to be back in our own beds. Callie, for reasons unknown, decided not to sleep very well on our trip. But she did great last night. We've decided that she doesn't like sleeping in the room with us -- Philip must snore too loud or something. Ha!
Other than that, Callie had a great time with Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Eric, Granny Great, and Paw-Paw (and all our cousins and great aunts and uncles - whew we have a lot of family)! She showed off her new skills like eating, razzing, rolling, and of course, all her talking!
The interview went great. We could hear as soon as Wednesday as to whether or not they are going to offer Philip a job. The interviewer told Philip that, as of Monday, he was their top pick!
We are so excited! It seems surreal right now. We've been trying for so long to make something happen, and it just might.
So, we're wanting to see if we can get the house sold and trying to figure out how to go about getting things wrapped up down here if we happen to get the job. :) Please be praying for us! We feel as though this would be an amazing opportunity in so many ways. We know that if this one doesn't happen for us, there's something better out there. Just pray that we're accepting of whatever happens and keep faith that God will provide what we need when we need it!
On a sad note, while we were in Illinois on Saturday, my dog, Copper, passed away. I found her as we were leaving to go to an event at church. Mom made the comment that maybe she held on a little longer so she could see me one last time. :) She was 13 years old. She was having trouble with arthritis and her health overall, so I find comfort in the fact that her pain has ended. She's been a faithful companion over the years, and she will be missed.
I will add more pictures from the trip later, once I get them from Mom and Dad. We always bring our camera to IL, but we never take any pictures, because they usually have it COMPLETELY covered!
