So I started this morning thinking that I was going to work at potty training. I got Callie out of her overnight diaper and talked up the training pants that I had bought her. As I tried getting the pants on she fought and fought and screamed and cried. (As I was thinking, why am I doing this today?) So I tried to convince her to pick a pair of her new panties, again to no avail. So then, I took her to the bathroom and her new little potty and tried to get her to sit on there. She would not bend her knees to sit down. I asked her if she would like to sit on the big potty instead, again fought me every step of the way. I finally managed to get her into the training pants and explained to her that these were big girl pants that would help her know when she was wet. If she felt like she needed to go, we could sit on her potty in the living room and if she used the potty, she would get a special treat.
