The Booker Post

 August was a month of trying to do some work around the house that had been neglected since it was mommy's first full of month of feeling good! Bring on the nesting!  We did have a little fun though and made our (nearly) annual trip to the Illinois State Fair. This is Callie, the old pro, milking a cow!  The guy helping everyone asked if she had ever milked a cow before to which she quickly replied, "Yes!" :) --The previous year at the State Fair, not one of her daily chores or anything!  Gabe and Callie got to sit in a real firetruck! Gabriel was especially excited about this part of our adventure. Gabe also wanted to drive the fire truck. I was really hoping they did something to prevent him from turning on all the sirens and lights because that boy loves pushing buttons!   Of course, we stopped by the Churches of Christ Exhibit Evangelism booth where Gabriel got a caterpillar painted on his face. So worn out!...

So a lot has happened in the months since my last post. My little baby boy turned two, we hosted our family for a wonderful week together, we went on our first (and last) big family trip as a family of 4 . . . But here it is, my big catch up. We'll start with Gabriel's birthday party! Here is the birthday boy's special seat! Complete with a safari hat and giraffe, his favorite "G" animal. Our table. Not as decorated as I intended it to be, but I was so sick . . . His next birthday will have to be a blowout! Plates and napkins. Cake! Always so cute! He was REALLY excited, even if mommy wanted to do more than she actually got done. Party hat time!
