I know, I know. I'm simply awful. I promised updates every two or three days and it's been months since I actually wrote a new update. I'm not going to try and catch everyone up on what's been going on, so I'll just talk about recent events. If you need (or want) any back stories, you can call me and I'll fill you in on all our latest happenings.
Philip and Callie and I have moved into an apartment in town while my parents build their house. With all the rainy weather that we have been having up here, they have no way of knowing when they're going to be able to start and we know it's going to be at least 6 months until they're finished. We were able to find an open ended lease so we could move back to the farm after mom and dad are finished with the new house, whenever that may be.
Callie is enjoying not being told "no" all day long and I'm enjoying not having to watch her like a hawk. We've made the adjustment well and we're all happy about our decision.
With Callie now being fourteen months old, we have begun to make some big strides in communication. I'm beginning to understand phrases that she uses on a regular basis and she's also got some sign language that she uses, mostly "more" when we're eating, and she has many animal sounds that she is able to make. The best part is that she understands what I'm saying to her and seeing her recognize that is just phenomenal. Watching her make connections everyday is so much fun! :)
I'm looking forward to working on my scrapbooks which had been lost in boxes that were stored away and also some more sewing projects in the near future.
That's a quick update about our family. I hope everyone is doing well and not at too much of a loss for reading material while I was on my hiatus. :) God bless you and yours!
