Our week here is coming to an end. We've had a lot of fun while we've been here. On Tuesday, we stayed in the hotel for most of the day until Philip got back to try and get back to a normal nap schedule. Tuesday night we ate at Red Robin for dinner. It's a gourmet burger place that has all the fries you can eat. Unfortunately, I didn't even make it through the first batch. They were really good and we had some of the best spinach and artichoke dip we've ever eaten.
Wednesday, Callie and I checked out IKEA after our morning nap. I decided I could probably furnish our whole house from there which really surprised me because I had always thought their stuff was way too modern for my style. Granted, Pottery Barn or Home Decorators would probably suit me better, but not at IKEA prices! Wednesday night we ate at Rainforest Cafe which was really fun. Callie had a lot of fun looking in the fish tanks and got quite a show since two men in scuba gear were in there cleaning the tank the whole time we were there. Every once in a while, the room would darken and there would be thunder and rain sounds. The only thing Callie didn't really like in there was the giant frog walking around. She clung to me and started crying.
Today, Callie and I went to lunch with my good friend Jim who lives in the Schaumburg area. We had a good lunch together and caught up. Tonight, we at PF Changs for dinner and had dessert at the Cheesecake Factory. We also went to the Mac store to drool over the computers there and get my dad's laptop worked on. We finished up our Christmas shopping tonight -- I'm finally feeling relief! I'm not usually this late with my shopping, but between a new baby and the move, I just haven't been on the ball this year!
We've had a lot of fun trying all new resturaunts and walking around the huge mall and all the stores around.
I'm really excited that the Twilight movie is coming out tomorrow. I'm probably not going to see it anytime soon, but I'm excited that I'll have the chance too. I know I know, I followed the crowd. It took me a total of about 4 days to read the entire series once I got into it, so I'm excited to see what they've done with it on the big screen.
That's about all that's going on with the Booker 3. We're excited/saddened that tomorrow is our last day in Chicago. It'll be nice to be back home, but it was sure great being up here with a housekeeper! Now I know what it feels like when people come back to their house after I've cleaned! :)
I hope all your families are doing well. God Bless!
