This was her immediate reaction to sitting on Santa's lap -- Oh well! Maybe next year!

As you can see, Callie had a big Christmas this year! Fortunately, some of the toys are going with Mimi and Bampa to their house once it's finally finished. (Someday!)

In other news, Philip finally felt GabeKenzie kick last night! I've been feeling little flutters for awhile and stronger kicks for the past two weeks. I'm excited for my next doctor's appointment to hear the little heartbeat again. This kid's got a heart muscle; GabeKenzie's heartbeat has been between 150-170 beats per minute every time we've heard it.

Uncle Eric is home for a couple days to get his arm x-rayed to make sure everything's continuing to heal properly.

That's about all we have going on here at the Hill/Booker household this weekend that I know about. I'll probably have more to write about after the weekend!

Meanwhile, back at the Farm . . .

We're having some exciting happenings around the Booker Farm so I thought I'd write a little bit about what's going on with the kiddos. Callie Callie is so excited that we now have two dogs and three cats. Their names are (dogs) Belle and Ariel, (cats) Duchess, Dixie, and Thomas O'Malley -- Tom for short. She is very excited to be wrapping up another school year and looking forward to our travels this summer. She is taking on more responsibility around the house (which I love) and doing an excellent job for the most part in taking care of all the animals. I'm certainly enjoying watching her grow and blossom in so many ways, but this is especially significant to me. Philip and I are really striving to raise our children to be responsible, caring, and kind adults! I'm now teaching her on Wednesday Night Bible Class and I love observing her for the first time in a classroom setting as her teacher as well. She is a delight to have in class, if I may s...

Sometimes it's hard . . .

I feel like I've finally awoken from a long, chaotic dream. The past couple of weeks have gone so much more smoothly. The first 3 (or so) months with a new baby just throws my world upside down and inside out. While I'm in it, I find it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel --  that time when we all adapt to each other and find our new routine. I'm not saying I don't love it, because I do. I just don't love all of it! So I'll do a quick little catch up, write Nolan's birth story in another post and we'll be back on track. For a little bit at least. I think I've said before that I love writing. I mean love it. But for some reason, I've never been good at keeping a journal. I really want to. There are so many moments I want to make sure I write down and remember and I want to be good at keeping track of everything.
