Nolan

(Nolan thinks it's a lot of fun to crawl underneath our chairs -- Problem is he has trouble getting back out! )

Yesterday was Nolan's 15 month check-up. The doctor was very pleased with how far he had come from his seeming inability to gain weight early on. He is now in the 68% for height at 32 inches tall. He is nearly 24 pounds which puts him in the 36% for weight. We were excited to get such a great report!

Of course, we all know that "Hoss" is thriving now, as evidenced by him pushing his brother all over the exam room on the wheeled stool. They're right around 10 lbs and exactly two clothing sizes apart now, which seems insane to me! The best part is no more storing boys clothes in tubs in the attic. They're either in the closet for Nolan to wear next or in the garage sale pile!

We worked very hard this last month on combining their closets so I could start organizing Skylar's tiny clothes. It was really amazing to see the boys clothing side by side. Just mind blowing!

Well, that's my story for today. I love watching them grow and thrive! Makes me a happy mommy!

Meanwhile, back at the Farm . . .

We're having some exciting happenings around the Booker Farm so I thought I'd write a little bit about what's going on with the kiddos. Callie Callie is so excited that we now have two dogs and three cats. Their names are (dogs) Belle and Ariel, (cats) Duchess, Dixie, and Thomas O'Malley -- Tom for short. She is very excited to be wrapping up another school year and looking forward to our travels this summer. She is taking on more responsibility around the house (which I love) and doing an excellent job for the most part in taking care of all the animals. I'm certainly enjoying watching her grow and blossom in so many ways, but this is especially significant to me. Philip and I are really striving to raise our children to be responsible, caring, and kind adults! I'm now teaching her on Wednesday Night Bible Class and I love observing her for the first time in a classroom setting as her teacher as well. She is a delight to have in class, if I may s...

Sometimes it's hard . . .

I feel like I've finally awoken from a long, chaotic dream. The past couple of weeks have gone so much more smoothly. The first 3 (or so) months with a new baby just throws my world upside down and inside out. While I'm in it, I find it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel --  that time when we all adapt to each other and find our new routine. I'm not saying I don't love it, because I do. I just don't love all of it! So I'll do a quick little catch up, write Nolan's birth story in another post and we'll be back on track. For a little bit at least. I think I've said before that I love writing. I mean love it. But for some reason, I've never been good at keeping a journal. I really want to. There are so many moments I want to make sure I write down and remember and I want to be good at keeping track of everything.
